Description: Annika is a Brooklyn-bred singer, songwriter and pianist whose soft pop/rock style is most influenced by Sara Bareilles and Carole King. Her favorite ones to pen are piano-driven, powerful, and draw listeners into a story delivered with raw emotion and vulnerability.
She first hit the radar with “Streets of Brooklyn”, her musical ode to her hometown. Released on YouTube in 2010, its popularity on YouTube and Facebook led to a growing fanbase, radio airplay, and invitations to perform. Annika’s debut EP is available on iTunes, Amazon, and here on her website. Her second album is scheduled for release later this year.
Annika is honored to have been chosen to perform at the 2012 Singer Songwriter Cape May Festival, as well as showcasing this summer at legendary venues The Stone Pony in Asbury Park and The Bitter End with the New York Songwriters Circle. She was also recently selected as a “Featured Artist of the Week” on Reverbnation where she is currently ranked #1 in her region in the singer/songwriter category.
