Edwin Vazquez Musica- great LATIN JAZZ

www.myspace.com/EDWINVAZQUEZ/MUSICA

“If you can imagine the combination of the flare of Elvis Presley, the contortions of Joe Cocker, and the charm of Enrique Iglesias, you have Edwin Vazquez. I can only describe Edwin’s performance as vibrant, energetic, and extremely animated. In one word I’d have to describe his performance as WOW! The audience greeted him with woops and hollers, shouting out otra, otra, otra, at the end of his set. It was quite electric to say the least”.

Hometown: Wellington, NZ

Genres: Alternative

From the distant shores of beautiful New Zealand, this musician recently arrived in NYC bringing with him a unique blend of delicately crafted folk, pop and alternative country songs. The quest to share his musical creations in the USA began by him performing on subway platforms, connecting with commuters and building up a fan base. Saffery has self-produced an EP and is now booking shows in music venues around NYC. Drawing plentiful inspiration from the diversity of culture and the accessible wealth of music and arts in the city he is looking forward to writing and recording his debut full length album soon. He has begun collaborating with other musicians and tonight he´ll play with pianist Mackenzie Shivers. Saffery plans on touring around the USA and internationally.

Rise Again for Theresa Sareo

After the river has flooded, we wait upon the shore; a sail ship approaching.

My breath held by a clamp of wind. A sprite of courage leading you take hold of my arm.

Years ago your wings were broken soaring in a snowstorm. A she eagle whose fierce beauty lingers within your eyes.

Once again your voice flickers within thecathedrals of night.
